Calle en España - print

from $20.00

I’m not entirely sure I want to let go of the original, so I’m adding prints here. Reproductions are printed on heavyweight, high quality paper. Matting and framing are not included, sorry! Sizes are approximate.

The story is this: In 19-dickety, a sweet second grader entered my class. She was pretty quiet, but capable and funny and kind and most importantly, knew how to talk to animals; she was the only one in that classroom who could handle the class hamster without getting bitten. Her family moved away at the end of the year (her dad was a Marine), but before her departure, I promised her she could call me by my first name when she turned 18. Perhaps she took that as a sign that we should stay connected. In the years that have passed, we did indeed keep in touch, first through her mom, and then when we found each other on IG. ANYHOW, this painting was inspired by a recent trip she took to Barcelona, from a photo she posted on IG. With her permission, I post the painting here. (She declined to be tagged.)🩷 Note: We know that there are many teachers who leave a lasting impression on some of their students. These students need to know that THEY leave lasting impressions on many of their teachers.
