Before I dare to play with crazy colors on these exquisite animals, I always paint a realistic version. I loved the way this one turned out, so here she is.
Side note: this painting went through a seriously concerning ‘ugly stage,’ which is a very real part of the process, AND a real test of ones faith as an artist. Do I keep going, I asked myself? Or do I ditch it and start over?
